An experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor is urgently required to join a major public sector project in Germany. This is a freelance opportunity offering the chance to play a key role in managing cost control, change management, and commercial delivery on a high-value, technically complex development.
 

The successful candidate will work closely with project management, design, and construction teams to ensure accurate cost planning, change order administration, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all MEP quantity surveying and commercial management activities on-site.
  • Prepare, manage, and evaluate change orders and variations.
  • Ensure accurate cost reporting, forecasting, and financial control.
  • Work closely with design, procurement, and construction teams to maintain budget and progress.
  • Review and assess contractor and supplier claims, ensuring value for money.
  • Support contract administration and ensure compliance with project and public sector standards.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and value engineering exercises.
  • Liaise effectively with both German and international stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7–8 years’ experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor.
  • Proven background working on public sector projects (minimum 5 years).
  • Fluent German (C1 level or higher), ideally a native speaker.
  • Strong knowledge of change order management and contract administration.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Available for immediate start and able to work in Germany on a freelance basis.
